TLC Guiding Services
After a very successful hunting trip I need to give some well deserved credit to my/our "guide"....as we call him. We all know the same places he knows, but I think he is just a good luck charm. Todd Getz has informally started TLC Guiding Services. I will spare you what it stands for because it only makes sense to us.
Last Tuesday morning we headed out for Day 2. Just before we went for our morning walks we took a snap of the temperature. A chilly -37. It was actually -38 just before we took the pick but at that temp 1 degree really makes no difference, it is all friggin cold!
We saw over 20 deer every day we were out. This is one of the 2 point bucks we saw. There were plenty of shootable deer, if it had been earlier in the hunting season, (we were looking for 4 points or better), but we only saw two 4 points and we managed to "get" one of them. Todd put all of us up for three days in his special retreat, fed us fabulous food and provided only the finest Chilean Merlot from his wine cellar. He even brought our meat to the butcher when it was time. I don't blame him for not helping to field dress the animals in -25 degree weather, but he sure put his time in with skinning and preparing the animals for the butcher.
TLC Guiding offers the best rates in the business and produces a plethora of game every year. Unfortunately, the list of clients is very short and each spot in that list is willed down from generation to generation.
Thanks Todd, for another successful year!!
