Brrrrrrrr!

Well, it was time to go hunting again. Hunting with my best of buds, we headed off to the bush this morning in search of some big bucks. Did I mention it was minus 22. It is the coldest weather I've ever hunted in before. We decided to do some walking during the day, so we had to bundle up. Wearing a full face mask was the only way not to get frosbite. We stayed quite warm as long as we kept moving. Our nice friend dropped us off for a walk, telling us he would be back to pick us up in an hour on a road below. Well, of course we knew he wouldn't be there on time. He showed up 1 hour and 30 mins later. Apparently, he had to go into town and do some work at the office. Thanks Getz!

We saw about 15 deer and 2 moose today. Only 2 bucks and they were both too small. It's 4 points or better only right now. I did get a picture of one of the 2 points as he stood on a hillside. The bucks didn't seem too skittish today especially when the does were around. This one was more concerned about where the nearby doe was, than with us watching him.

Now that face mask is something I could use on my walks here. The wind is very strong.
I love the picture but why go out when it is so cold? Are four legged ones that good for your soul? Keep warm
